Brett Favre missed part of today’s practice with ankle and right elbow soreness. He did line up in the defensive back position going over routes and moves with his seemingly lost WRs.
Percy Harvin was back on the field today after suffering from migraines. His sore hip seems like it’s no longer a problem. He claimed to be “feeling great.” Berrian was limited (knee). You have to wonder how long it will take for newcomer Hank Baskett to be thrown into the fire.
Bryant McKinnie’s dislocated finger is healing as he did not miss anytime today. John Sullivan is also at full strength (calf).
Ben Leber was limited in practice (back), but said he will be ready for this weekend’s game.
As for people who haven’t seen live game action all year:
Cedric Griffin was limited, and will most likely be out this week and take advantage of an early bye week. Jimmy Kennedy will see his first action on the defensive line against the Lions. Most likely joining him, at least in a limited fashion, will be rookie Christ Cook. Cook said, “It feels way better than it did a week ago. Definitely [better than] two weeks ago. Hopefully my number gets called on Sunday.”
That’s it for today. Check back this weekend for more injury updates, and a break down of Sunday’s game against the Detroit Lions.
